Meet Kaitlyn Rogers - 1 of 2 2high Festival performance coordinators. She loves theatre and performance, she’s a total people person and, to be frank, she can cut a rug.
We spoke to Kaitlyn about what she’s been up to lately, and got her opinion on great things to come:
ENTER Kaitlyn - Centre Stage Right.
What’s this song you’ve shared with us, Ms. Rogers?
I heard this song (featured video) on the radio the other day and it’s
amazing. I swear there is a minimum of 4 key changes in this song, it’s
mind blowing!
What'd you get up to on the weekend just passed?
Oh look, I went to FAST festival and it was incredible.
Oh really? Why is that?
What do you get when hundreds of young creative spirits from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane meet and
showcase their talents?! Four days of parties, theatre, drinking, dancing and more parties! Over the past
weekend hundreds of students from across Australia have been involved with the
Festival of Australian Student Theatre at La Boite. When we weren’t watching Shakespeare or existential theatre we
theatre pilgrims were out on the town bonding in the only way we thespians know, interpretive dance! Just kidding
but there was dancing on the town involved.
Which brings me to a new point. Have you ever found yourself reading the horrifying and sometimes nauseating
comments left in a public bathroom? Whether that is in the restrooms of the Valley or the slabs of concrete at the beach.
Yes, of course! Sometimes really interesting stuff is written there.
You are not wrong! Well, now that is needed for your entertainment!
What for?
The Toilet Show. It will hit the stage at this year’s 2high Festival and the creative team would love YOUR input!
They’re asking people to post anything on their Facebook page found in public bathrooms which you think would
make for a good show. So the next time you read something repulsive, wrong or just plain confusing consider it a
contribution to art.
Catch Kaitlyn and the rest of the 2high team at this year's festival :)
It's going to be a smashing program (and I know Kaitlyn will vouch for that!)
